Hi Folks....
I combined and shipped 2 orders on Monday, October 20th. One order was Priority mail. The other USPS Ground Advantage. I combined them to Ground Advantage (OK with customer). I have a scan receipt from the post office. Tracking is updating on the USPS site. Nothing is updating on eBay, just showing tracking number provided. Does anyone have some insight on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Having the same issue of tracking not updating on one item not combined with any other order. I used ebay label and it was ground advantage. USPS site says out for delivery but, eBay shows tracking number provided and no USPS updates.

None of the USPS tracking is showing up on eBay. All the shipment history shows “tracking number provided” but has no updates on status. When you go over to the usps website it shows those same items as being tracked. As far as I know, it seems to be USPS packages. Aside from this, the iOS app has been very glitchy and uncomfortable to use.

@wastingtime101 Unrelated or not, this "fix" has been tested by several sellers and mentors and has resulted in ebay being updated shortly after applying. Maybe just a coincidence , but at this point anything is worth a try.

None of the FIVE packages I shipped Monday show any scans on eBay. One was even delivered today already.

Same thing happened to me and a lot of other people. The common issue is USPS shipping labels printed from ebay on October 20th. When I printed my label I noticed a red warning message near the top of the page - something about the Amazon Web Services crash causing some classes of labels not being able to be purchased. It let me print a USPS Priority label, but I think it's more than a coincidence that the Amazon Web Services crash was on October 20th, the same day many of us are having issues with getting tracking updates for labels printed that day. I asked google about this and here's the response: "There has been instances where eBay's own services have been disrupted by AWS outages, indicating a dependence on AWS for certain specific functions." It was reported that the AWS crash effected up to a third of domestic internet traffic.

Are you bleepin serious? I can't even fathom how that could happen, all I know is there's one more reason to recognize Amazon is an over-bloated monster too big for its britches. Ya hear that Jeff? Yer sh's spilling over onto our sh. Order yourself a bottle of Pepto Bismol to be delivered in a microwave-sized stupid smiley box, and DRINK IT.

I have a 4 day lead time for all my shipments. I had until yesterday, 10/23, but shipped the item I am having a problem with early on 10/20. I expected to see a defect for late shipment with no carrier scans today, 10/24, but my performance dashboard is showing 0 defects. However, I just read that it can take up to 72 hours after the lead time expires before a defect appears. This is such a PIA, I've already contacted ebay chat support twice, taking about 20 minutes just to get the right 'team' member online, then having to go through the entire scenario with them while they pretend to have never heard of this Oct 20th tracking problem. What really makes a seller mad is when they pretend that my case is an isolated one that no one else is having. They refuse to acknowledge all these other reports even when I reference all these reports on the Community Forums. Ebay just refuses to take any responsibility for these problems. The first ebay support rep I chatted with blamed USPS. I pity the sellers that just don't pay attention to the tracking on their shipments. Now, it looks like I will have to go through the entire process again to get defects removed. Fortunately, I have the 2 chat transcripts where ebay support told me I would not get a defect for this.

Yep, the defects are now showing up. I had 100%, and I am now just barely holding on to TRS due to 1 order of six items shipped on the 20th, which is not updating on eBay. The USPS website indicates the package is expected to be delivered tomorrow.

Call eBay.
I'm not seeing any defects and still tracking is not updating.
The items were delivered yesterday (23rd).
So hopefully they did what they said they would and looked at the USPS scans before giving me defects.

Thanks @dlb9 In another thread on this topic, elizabeth@ebay recommended contacting eBay via Facebook to have the dings removed. I initiated a chat on Facebook with an eBay rep and am now waiting for a reply.

I started a chat on eBay at 8am EST.
Went back & forth & then asked for a representative.
The rep called me with in 3 minutes.

Basically, the defects we get are staying because it would be too complicated to remove each one from all of us piecemeal.
If and when there is a case open or we are brought to over 5% not validated on time, they will handle it on a case by case bases.
As for the punitive diminished visibility, eBay is sorry but we are gonna have to deal with it. Part of the e-commerce experience.
