Timezone Issues With Selling

This is a two parter. First, how do I change my time zone in the current settings? All the directions I found were for older eBay navigation. Second, if I change this, will it fix issues with shipping. Basically with the way it is now, if something sells at 1am, I still have to ship it same day despite my turnaround time being one day. I am hoping the time zone fix will change this. Does anyone know if it will? I find it pretty silly that things selling after 12am must be shipped same day despite my policy. Thanks so much for any help! ❤️

Realistically, what difference does it make if it's purchased at 11:59pm or 12:01am? Or 2:59am?

It's after PO hours, and you can't actually ship pkgs in any of those scenarios anyway.

Because I'm up at midnight and might be able to do it then or at least know how much earlier I need to wake to get it packed before I head out for the day.

I hope I'm not up at 2:59 a.m.

Waking up to 3-5 orders is really nice but may be extremely challenging to ship by 5 p.m.

This 1 business day clock running long into the nighttime hours never really made sense to me, but since they insist on it, I wish it would be based on the seller's location and not because of the corporate office location who has no inventory.

Re: Timezone Issues With Selling

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you can’t change the time zone. eBay operates on PST. If something sells at 1am you only have to ship that day if you have same day handling.

As Jen pointed out,  you cannot change the time zone.

It is set at PST. You might consider changing your handling time to two days.

Re: Timezone Issues With Selling

I knew that counter argument was going to come up, but I posted what I did anyway.

Midnight is as arbitrary as 1am or 2am or 3am for the purposes of this discussion. You're up at midnight so don't want 1am orders to count as that same day. Ok. Fine. Betty Sue doesn't want anything past 11pm her time to count. I want to go to bed at 10pm, so I don't want any orders past 10pm to count. And so on.

No cutoff time is going to please or work for everyone.

I don't disagree that some right coasters are a bit more inconvenienced than us left coasters, but I'd guess only a small minority are up at 11:59pm their time packing orders - that is the basis for my original comment.
