Hi all,
Trying to list a raw non-bullion foreign coin under $20 with standard envelope shipping, but the option is not available under shipping when I try to list. I've tried everything like changing dimensions, setting one dimension to 0, changing categories...but the option still does not appear for the listing. Standard envelope did appear when I test listed a trading card, but does not seem to appear for any coins. Anybody else having the same issue?

Have you tried a different browser to see if that makes a difference? Believe it or not, sometimes it does.
Which version of the listing form are you using? If you're using the quick tool you may need to switch to the business tool.

Just so you know coins cannot be mailed in the USA under normal mailing. This have been in effect for years.
Plus if you try there is no insurance value if lost in the mail.

Insurance is not an issue for low value coins, which is what the standard envelope is intended for ($20>). Additionally, I have received plenty of coins packed in plain white envelopes using an ESUS label in the past, and the info page for standard envelope shipping even states that coins can be shipped using the option: https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/shipping/ebay-standard-envelope.html#m22_tb_a1__10

Does your listing say it is a coin in EBay...which might be why you are having a problem?

Ebay sees it is a coin in the listing...and that is the problem.
For shipping.

Hey @c974592. Are you using the app? If you are, switch to the website. Some service don't appear in the app.
The second thing to check is your category. If you're listing in the coins category, then eBay Standard Envelope should be available, but if the category is wrong then the service is blocked.

Again as I stated, coins are accepted for eBay standard envelopes, and I spoke with customer service regarding this issue and they confirmed that coins are okay: https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/shipping/ebay-standard-envelope.html#m22_tb_a1__10
They were not able to resolve this issue.
Furthermore, I received a coin in an envelope with an ESUS label last week--I do not think the restrictions would have changed within an week without any sort of notice or update.

That other poster is not familiar with ESE service which makes their posts irrelevant to your problem.

I've tried both the app and the website, and neither seem to work. The category is under coins, specifically coins> world coins> asian coins> japanese coins.

Have your recent mailings been certified mailed?
I looked at what you sold on your feedback and I assume they have been certified since they are around
$40. or more.
Talking to EBay minions on the phone...they always say yes. I stopped calling to them years ago.
Why not ask someone who sells coins over $50. on EBay how item will be mailed?
Perhaps that might help.

Thank you for the helpful suggestions--different browser didn't work, but the business tool gave me that option and plenty more!
