I received a email from ebay stating my item sold but when I go to ship the item I get this message "
Sorry, you can’t ship this item.
Sorry, the item does not belong to you.
Please make sure the item is yours. Sign-in to eBay again to make sure you are logged in with the correct user and try again.

- What's up with this?
Just like it says. If you're reading the email tied to one eBay account, but are currently logged in to a different account, then clicking the link(s) in that email will fail, because they will not be accessing the right account.
Also be aware that it could be a phishing email. Don't follow any link in the message to log in to your account if the relevant item listing doesn't open right away. If you do need to log in separately, open your own new window in the browser, go to eBay via your own bookmark, and sign into it yourself. Then see if you have actually got a sale to ship.

the way I avoid this issue is having each account open into a different browser so that eBay's cookie doesn't get confused (the cookie ebay uses seems to get confused as easily as the c/s representatives)
