Re: Sipping parcel select

Don't forget that ebay will take about 15% from your total. You need to add a handling fee to cover that. You made just over $2 net profit. On lower priced items like yours it is a lot more than 15%.

Re: Sipping parcel select

You sold the item on October 1st so the buyer was charged shipping rates in effect October 1st @siberbunny. On October 2nd the holiday surcharges went into effect, therefore the label cost more.

This is always a factor sellers need to deal with when there's a price change from Saturday to Sunday. You'll see another price change happen mid-late January every year, another in August (sometimes July) every year, and what has become an annual holiday surcharge starting the first week of October every year. Each carrier has different levels of surcharge.

You can read more on the eBay announcements board or at the carrier websites.

Re: Sipping parcel select

Since I had calculate shipping, why didn't calculate the new postage charges?

Re: Sipping parcel select

The new shipping rate were not in effect the day the buyer made the purchase so the old rates were charged.  The new rates were in effect when you printed the label.  If the buyer had made the purchase on Oct. 2 they would  have paid the new rate.
