I had an item listed $300 or best offer, buyer pays shipping. I had 2 shipping choices, FedEx and UPS. The buyer sent me a best offer of $300, but put in the note I pay shipping. I figured if I accepted the offer, they would be charged shipping since that’s what the listing was. So I reduced the offer by the lowest shipping (FedEx) and told them to pick the FedEx shipping so their price would be $300. They accepted the offer but chose the higher UPS shipping. Can I still ship it FedEx or do I have to ship it UPS cause that’s what they chose, but it’s higher priced?

You have to ship by buyers choice since listing gave buyers a choice.
When accepting offers shipping is NEVER PART OF THE OFFER
Yes buyer will be charged shipping
expect a angry buyer expect a request for refund /discount refund for shipping
expect a very likely negative feedback for this transaction

on a best offer listing shipping is not part of the offer
the offer price is for the item only.............buyers cant dictate free shipping with an offer.
offers are for the price of the item only...the shipping price is written in stone and is in addition to the item.

Had the buyer read the make offer policy they would know that offers are for the item price only.
FedEx and UPS are both Standard Shipping methods so it's okay to use either one. What is not okay is to downgrade the shipping method to Economy Shipping.

I think some buyers just assume that notes are a binding part of the sale.but they are not
on an offer its only the numbers in the offer that mean anything....notes or messages are not really meant to be part of the tranasaction.
you can be sure that an ebay CSR would not pay attention to them

On the other hand, buyers can make their best offer their price less eBays estimate of shipping costs. I've had quite a few accepted where I offered them their BIN (or auction starting bid) price, less what eBays shipping estimate was. My note always tells them that is what my offer was based on, because I know that eBay will collect shipping anyway.
