I have several board games that I am in the process of listing. I ordered 50 free USPS Priority Large FLAT RATE BOARD GAME Boxes to be delivered to my house.
I always print my labels using Ebay's shipping portal. The Flat Rate Board Game Boxes aren't an option when choosing your shipping method. I saw another post with this question, but I didn't quite understand.... you can use it by choosing the USPS Large Rate Flat Box or the Priority Mail option somehow?

It's a Large flat rate box, so that's the postage option you should choose.
In many cases, the postage will be higher than if you shipped by regular Priority Mail rates (based on weight and distance) in a non-flat-rate box.

The Board Game box is one of the available Flat Rate Large sizes. Just follow the menu choices for Flat Rate Large; the term "Board Game Box" is not used.
P.S. Yes, as noted above, Flat Rate package rates can be a ripoff for shipping relatively lightweight items, so if you have packaging of your own that could ship the board game safely as an alternative to the Flat Rate game box, you might want to compare the shipping cost to your buyer using regular weight-/dimension-based Priority Mail vs. Flat Rate Large box, and see which is the better deal.

You're welcome. I didn't realize that you were talking about Erector sets. Anything metal is a good candidate for a flat rate box. Even so, the postage for a large flat rate box is higher than the regular rate to ship 24 pounds to Zones 1 & 2, 17 pounds to Zone 3, 14 pounds to Zone 4, 8 pounds to Zone 5, etc.
The USPS dimensional rate is based on package volume, not on any single dimension. The threshold is one cubic foot, which is 1728 cubic inches. The Large "board game" flat rate box has a volume of less than 900 cubic inches. .

Type in the dimensions of the box and it should pop up.
