For the first time ever, I got a buyer with an FPO AP in the Address where the City and State normally go. It says United States on it. So, I figured maybe it was military but would otherwise be a normal package to ship. So, I was surprised when the label came up with a customs declaration on it.
Can anyone give me some more info. about this type of label? I don’t ship internationally. And Ebay charged me the way it normally would for a regular domestic label but it looks different. Am I going to be hit with any weird fees or anything?

You ship to the FPO address on the shipping label and it will travel through military channels to get to your buyer stationed overseas.
Our military personnel do not have to pay international shipping rates to get packages from the US.

Thank you for the reply. So, as long as I checked the checkbox- I am good to go; nothing else to do?

Customs Forms are required because even though the address is a US one, the final duty station/location may be overseas, even with the US address. For example, a Navy ship uses an FPO address in the US, but the ship could be anywhere.
You are charged the regular postage rate, no weird fees, just a form that you need to fill out and sign.
When you ship it, it will start with the USPS and end with the military postal system, but it will scan delivered.
Do not be afraid if the tracking falls into a big of a black hole for a little while as sometimes your package has to make across the other side of the world and to a ship/unit via many flights/ships/helo's etc.

Thank you. That’s good to know.

You are good to go, it's all taken care of for you. No additional fees, the country receiving the package just wants to know what's in it, in case you are shipping something they ban, like alcohol in some Arab countries.

Great! Thank you!
