Shipping policies

When did they switch to this crap?  There is no more drop box to choose the carrier and type of shipping when making a listing like there used to be.  Now I have umpteen different "shipping polices" to choose from.  I can't bulk edit handling time anymore either.   The only option is to change shipping policies.

I swear.  Every "improvement" here sucks.

Re: Shipping policies

You can opt out of shipping policies; there's a tiny link in the upper-right corner.  Sellers who have taken the time to remove irrelevant policies and generate useful titles claim that they are useful.

Re: Shipping policies

Business policies help me keep my sanity. Manage and edit them (or disable them to go back to how you used to set up your listings) on this page.

Once you set up your shipping policies and name them so you can easily identify them, you can go to your active listings and bulk edit to assign your new policies.

After the initial mess of policies that are created when you first sign up are no longer tied to active listings, you can delete them.

It takes a little time and work to set it up, but in my opinion it's well worth it.

Re: Shipping policies

I could see how it would be helpful once you had it set up to your liking, especially if you list a lot of similar items.

I don't have a lot of listings and I use multiple different shipping options and prices on my listings based on size/weight.  I would rather have the option to tailor that to each individual listing.  I also like the option to quickly bulk edit handling time when I am away for a day or two and can't ship next day.  I opted out, and this option is back now.

Re: Shipping policies

This crap is driving me crazy too. I will see if I can opt out later.  I think that is one of the dumbest "improvements" ever here.  What is so hard about writing a price?   WHy mix the handling time, the price and the carrier into a policy?

Once I opted out, everything was back to the way it was.

Re: Shipping policies

I have thankfully noticed that shipping policies are being added in the business policy section that I have NOT created! Like 1 day expedited shipping! Now I have to check every day to avoid losing money!

Re: Shipping policies

I've created a shipping policy, but I don't see where I can bulk edit/ apply the policy to listings. I want to ship bike frames for a flat-rate continental US, I created the policy, now how do I use it for only specific listings?
