Shipping labels.

When I compare shipping costs between printing MY OWN labels to the cost of the same label

provided  by eBay, I enjoy a discount on items for which the buyer pays shipping. This refers to

USPS First Class Pkg.

Question: Would I get the same eBay label discount on the same item listed as FREE SHIPPING????

Re: Shipping labels.

If you are the buyer and want to buy an item with free shipping, then you the buyer will not pay for shipping only the cost of the item.

If you are the seller and you sold something where you offer free shipping, you will pay whatever the cost is to ship that item. Other than Media mail, you should receive the discount for the label.

Re: Shipping labels.

There is no such thing as "free shipping" so when you purchase a shipping label "online" you get the same price for that label no matter what your listing says.

There is no"eBay" label discount for 1st class packages. It is the price that USPS charges for purchasing a 1st Class label "online".

Yes, you would. The price that eBay charges you for postage is determined by package weight, dimensions, distance, etc. It is not connected in any way to how much you charged the buyer (including zero).  This is the regular online discounted price that you'd pay to any online postage seller (PayPal, endicia, stamps.com, etc.).

Re: Shipping labels.

Why people don’t use pitateship is way beyond me.  eBay can’t even touch the discounts that pirate ship has.  And it’s completely free.  Plus they have priority cubic option, which means most items within certain dimensions can use the 1 lb price for up to 20 lbs!  It’s a no brainer

Re: Shipping labels.

Pirate ship offers the exact same deals that I get on eBay.  We sell on other sites and use pirate ship and receive the exact same discount

Re: Shipping labels.

Just did it; 14oz 1st Class NV to LA

Ebay price $6.11

Pirateship: $6.11

You gotta quit drinking the kool aid.

Re: Shipping labels.

The cubic rate and simple export rate they offer is awesome. Other than that its nearly identical pricing. However if you have logged in today they have a popup saying they just got a discount from USPS on priority mail. I have yet to check the new rate.
