Shipping cost

I listed and sold a set of 8 tumblers. I listed the correct weight of the box including shipping material, Priority mail, etc. in the listing. I buyer paid 22.00 shipping. Using the new eBay labeling/printing system page, the cost for the shipment was 29.00! On the old printing page, you could see the cost the buyer paid and the cost with the eBay discount and it made sense. I could find no explanation for the difference in price. Am I missing something?

Re: Shipping cost

Parcel Select Ground would have shipped at the 5-pound rate since it doesn't have a dimensional weight (yet). But you would have had to set up the listing with that choice rather than Priority.

Re: Shipping cost

We can probably help if you provide specific details, including package weight and dimensions, service used (e.g., Priority Mail?), both ZIP Codes, and both exact prices.

Re: Shipping cost

Package was mailed at a 5 pound wt. from 99301 to 77502. 10 X 10 X 18 inches. Correct weight listed on listing (I double checked). Priority mail. Showed buyer paid from listing info 22.00. Yet when I went to print label off of eBay new page (which I do not like at all!) it charged me 29.00.

Re: Shipping cost

Did you double-check the package dimensions that you entered in the listing's shipping calculator? That package's volume is 1800 cubic inches; since it's over 1 cubic foot (which is 1728 cu in) and going to Zone 7, it will ship at the "dimensional weight" which is 10 pounds.

Re: Shipping cost

I did not list any dimensions on my listing. Never have. Guess everything I have shipped in the past has fit into pricing scale. Would it have been better to ship parcel post in regards to cost?
