EBay's shipping label work flow with USPS had been working very well for me up until today. I use a thermal printer (Rollo) with 4x6 labels. The labels generated by eBay worked fine and printed directly as 4x6 labels. As I recall this had to be set up using a "label setup" or "label preferences" option, but it seems to be missing/removed.
The stable and solid workflow all seems to have ended today. The labels are only generating as 8.5x11 PDFs with the label across the top-half in horizontal position. This confuses DYMO.
I have been on an eBay help chat session for the last 53 minutes. After a it's in your printer settings false-start, I think I clearly explained the issue. I got a "Let me check on that. Please hold" That was over 40 minutes ago, and not response despite me bumping the conversation a couple of time.
I have a workaround, but it is a bit of a tedious time waste to download labels as PDF's then print a selection within Adobe.
Anyone else dealing with this?

First make sure ebay is set to the proper format. On the create label page look to the right and click on Show More. There you will see the current format, if not correct click on Change.
Make sure your browser is set to open PDF files with Adobe and not its built in reader.
When the label preview opens, Adobe print options should be set to Actual Size and Auto Orientation. For 4” x 6” size labels, check the box for “Choose paper source by PDF page size”, if needed depending on type of printer.
Note that ebay's "Standard Envelope" labels does not support 4"x6" labels, but can be shrunk to fit them.
If still a problem come back with OS, browser, and printer model. Screenshots of entire preview page will also help.

Quick follow-up. The rep did verify the issue (at least as to how it applies to my account). She generated a ticket for "tech" and sent it off. She will follow-up with me at some point via email, and I will try to remember to post what I learn here.

Use an independent vendor for your shipping. eBay's outsourced programming apparently cannot be depended upon.

Hiding that "Print Format" onder under a "Show More" on the "Order Details" page is pretty tricky. Well answered. That is exactly what I had been looking for. I think there used to be a "print setup" button that was not so hidden.
Interestingly, the formatting issue healed itself the next morning which was before I even saw this post. I finished using a work-around on the day of my original post, and when I went to ship the following day all was correct without making any change.
My guess is that someone on the back end did something which flipped the default for some number of us, and they flipped it back the same way.
