Hello all!
I sold an item. I *always* copy/paste the address (together with the buyer's name). In this way I cannot use a wrong address. But this is what happened to me: I shipped the item to the address displayed.
It returned to me after two weeks as undelivered. Of course, the address was not correct. I rechecked ebay info I have and the address shown is different from the one that was on the parcel (the first name and the last name are correct - John Doe), only the street name, house number, zip, town are different. So I wonder is it possible that there was a 'bug' in the ebay system so I saw (and copied/pasted) a wrong address? (again: the name was correct!).
Of course I printed a new address and shipped the parcel immediately.
Thanks.

It could be that the buyer bought and paid using an old address and didn't make a change on their account until after you shipped the item. Since you are located in Slovenia and probably signed up with ebay using one of the European sites, you may want to ask your question on that site. This is the U.S. based site, and some things work differently here.

Thanks for the suggestion... but the email I recevied from ebay (and paypal) had a correct address in it. I sell on ebay.de (because the items I have for sale are targetted for that market). But I don't speak German so I use ebay.com to do other stuff - one of the things is to 'print' shipping labels (I can't use that because I am in Slovenia but I see buyer's address).
Thanks.

Looks like this 'wrong' address was buyer's address in the past (until 2004!). So it really must be a bug in ebay's system.

It is a bug in eBay's system. The emails eBay sends me (for my account in MP) has old addresses provided instead of the buyer chosen address. For some reason eBay is pulling up old addresses for the email notification. I have now 7 orders that went to old addresses before I realized there was a problem. Now I always check "order details" to be sure of having the correct address.
eBay says they are working on it, but meanwhile 7 buyers don't have their items, all of which show "delivered."

Sorry to bring this topic up again but I want to contact ebay regarding this and I just can't find a correct link - all there is are lots of help guides, etc. I can't start a dispute with a buyer. I must contact ebay.
Anyone knows how to contact ebay?
Thanks.

When you look at the order details now on ebay, is it the first address that you shipped to or the new one?

Yes there is one bug about shipping on eBay which i am sure about it and what i faced most of time is, when you print shipping label , sometimes its pull up wrong city name automatically based on automatically selection, its always suggest me to ship to Alabama , which is too weird. i think eBay shipping dept programmers think they are extra genius, i have reported this problem to eBay several times but so far not any solution. when they fix one thing then other side other feature lack on same page. copy paste coding in order to perform a task often leave bugs in site. good luck to you !

The address I see now is the correct one.
Thanks.
