Ship by date incorrect

I had an order that sold on the 28th (12:35 AM CDT) and the orders awaiting shipment page showed a ship by date of the 29th. I shipped the order on the 29th, but eBay is counting it as being shipped late because according to eBay the transaction was actually on the 27th and regardless of what day the eBay orders awaiting shipment page showed their policies require that the order have been shipped on the 28th! Has anyone else encountered having orders counted as being shipped late when they shipped by the order ship by date on the orders awaiting shipment page?

It's not incorrect. The purchase date is determined in PDT, not your local time zone. A purchase made on 12:35CDT on 8/28 was made at 10:35PDT on 8/27, and if you have 1-day handling, you were required to ship on 8/28.

The "orders awaiting shipment" page has had issues in the past; I don't know if it still does. But you were obligated to ship on 8/28 based on the time of purchase and your handling time promise.

Thanks for restating my question as an answer! I already knew that eBay was using pacific time rather than local time, I was asking if anyone else has been running into this same issue with the orders awaiting shipment page, which should have shown the 28th as the required ship by date rather than the 29th which is the date that the page showed.

This issue crops up from time to time where the system somehow gets confused between timezones.  The best solution people have found is to set your timezone in your accout to pacific.
