Seller closed return request

I recently purchased an item that did not exactly match the seller's description, along with some other issues so I opened a return request under reason: changed my mind. The seller immediately declined/closed the request without any response and I'm not sure how else to proceed with the request? I tried going to the resolution center page and it says a return request is already open and there are no other options. Is there a phone number to talk to a c.s. rep directly about the case? Every link i click seems to direct me to the open return request but it says the seller has already closed/declined it? What are my options?

Seller closed return request

Sounds like you either waited too long or the seller does not accept returns. When an item is 'not as described, damaged etc. then the sellers 'does not accept returns' is null/void and over-ridden by ebay. Because you used 'change mind' that is 'buyers remorse' and the seller can 'deny' the return. Once a return is opened and then closed, there is no more return to 'escalate' and no more 'returning' of the same item.

If you used I changed my mind as a reason for a return, that is a remorse request, and if the seller had no returns on the listing, he is not required to refund on a remorse request You cannot reopen a case here after it has been closed.

Guess its my fault for using "I changed my mind as the reason" instead of just using "product not as described". I had no idea that the seller could close the request without any input from myself. So is there any way to appeal or talk to a rep about this? Or am I just out of luck?

No, Ebay made up their mind and closed the case for the seller.

You can go to Paypal and open a not as described case but you are responsible for return shipping.

There are no reps to even talk to but if you said changed your mind and then try to say the item was damaged it looks like you are just trying to get a return and the seller has a no returns policy! So nothing you can do except block seller and never buy from them again!

Before you open a dispute at PayPal, try to

Can you come back to say if this works, after the fact, to repay your return shipping?
