Defective item. $8.95 item with free shipping. Seller refuses to pay return shipping and I refuse to pay $5 to return a defective $8.95 item.
I suggested she refund $8.95 and I’ll destroy item and take pictures.
She now claims the verbiage didn’t promise things I’m complaining about. The “insulated double wall” cup infers it keeps hot and cold for hours. Thirty minutes was all it lasted plus it leaks.
Due to disability I can't call eBay. Email is not available and I need an eBay rep to intervene. I don’t want to message anyone here and request help as that’s not right.
So ... could a rep please contact me so this can be resolved?

Don’t think she was confirming your response. She was pointing out that.....the seller is free and clear here and your refund came out of PayPal’s pocket. Not the sellers.

It was confirmed that I received a refund and did not lie about that. The seller advertised a new, insulated cup. Mine leaked and the insulation wasn't present. They refused to pay shipping and I'm not paying $5 to return a $7.95 defective item.
Most people wouldn't complain. Im proof that persistence pays off.

No said you lied about it. No one said you wouldn’t get a refund. What we are trying to tell you is that the seller didn’t refund you. They kept your money. PayPal took the hit for them and refunded you. That’s what hafosters reply is about.

Despite my disabilities, I can understand English very well. I don’t think I misinterpreted what I was told. The responses aren’t on my screen but I remember people saying I’d have to pay postage or I was too late or couldn’t refile. Every response was negative and I could hear the unwritten “haha you loser” behind each response. I was basically told nothing could be done.
I wanted other buyers to know they can win if persistent and correct. That sellers can bump up the durability of a product but if you research first, you’ll have proof of the promised durability. And, don’t give up or listen to rumors. I repeatedly read that eBay/PayPal collude to rip you off with no recourse. I’d read stories as “proof” but always said that it’s one side only. Then I’m accused of being an employee!
Dont give up.

The posters giving that advice are correct that is the norm. PayPal decided to issue you a courtesy refund. We don't hear about PayPal doing that often. eBay issues them a lot but not really so much with paypal. Generally with PayPal the buyer has to pay return shipping to get a refund. And what you heard unwritten is in your own mind and just how you feel no one said those things. They were just telling you the policies that are in place. If you file with eBay you will get a return label me and a full refund. Don't close an eBay case because you cannot be guaranteed a courtesy refund from PayPal especially not a second time. As long as buyers follow the policies with eBay they shouldn't need the advice or persistence to get a courtesy refund from PayPal.

In fact several people said sorry when stating the policy showing empathy for your situation.

You nailed the problem on the head. eBay didn't issue the label correctly. If an item is defective, seller pays return shipping. I learned that here. But despite filing as "not as described" the seller and eBay wanted me to pay. The $8.95 cup is now a $14+ cup.
Yes, those words were in my head. Others who read it said words I won't type here, other than rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming. The tone of the wording and not the words, other than NSFW.
Any stranger reading many responses, not just in my post, would feel very intimidated to ask a question.
Funny thing was the nurse just came in to give me meds. When asked, I said I was talking about rude people, she wanted to see it, so I showed her my post, not saying it was me. Using polite words in place of hers, "this moron has a stick up her butt", "this moron must feel inferior to their peers to talk to a stranger that way" and "how the heck can someone think that is helpful while practically calling you a blank blank blank butt"?
Hard to type when laughing so hard!
I'm done with this thread. PayPal got their thank you email last week, They'll note I never explained anything confidential or not public knowledge. A brief, general explanation was given by me. Y'all chose to reveal private dealings within PayPal.
Since I won't be using eBay anytime soon, I wish most of you a good holiday season and happy new year. To the rest .......
