Im a new seller with like one review. I was hesitant to sell my loungefly bag through facebook due to scams. So I sold it through ebay, used an ebay shipping label that auto uploaded the tracking, and shipped it out the same day it was purchased.
It arrived to the address within 2 days, at 9am on the 18th. The next night (19th around 5pm) the buyer filed "did not receive", explaining they got updated the package arrived but when they went to check their parcel locker was open with the key in the lock, assuming it was the mailmans fault. They then say "well i still didnt get the item" and reference how ebay may have insured the item.
The way they wrote it all seems like theyve done this before or something. Why wait over 24 hrs after delivery to mark it as "didnt recieve" and without messaging me first?
Im scared theyre going to give me a bad review (again... im a new seller with only like one rating right now) or that they know how to pull one over on sellers. Am I covered? What should I do/have to help my case? I responded to the claim by updating the tracking showing it was delievered, and told them they should have contacted their post office about it since it seems to be their fault.
I cant really afford to lose out on the money AND the item, and idk if ebay covers it....
Any help is appreciated.

You’re covered as long as you upload the tracking into the case to prove delivery.
You’ve done your job, it’s up to the buyer to ensure a secure and safe location for their item.
Regarding feedback once you win the case any feedback received from the buyer will be automatically removed.

I did copy the tracking to the case immediately after i read through what they wrote in the comment.
I just wasnt sure if that was enough on my part or if theres more i should be doing.
I have bad anxiety, so I got super stressed over this when it happened and tried to read all the ebay rules/policies

You have tracking. The main reason you used tracking was so that delivery could be proven in case of a discrepancy.

You are where you should be since you entered tracking into the case.
Stop back by with questions if anything else comes up.

you can relax now and stop replying to the buyer
the MBG is on your side so this will be closed shortly
there is nothing more for you to do except wait for the claim to close

Relax, whether it's true or not, your item arrived. Ebay does NOT insure anything. These scammers are trying to scare you/ bully you into a refund. Once you uploaded the tracking # and it shows delivered, you are safe. If they post a negative, it is removable. Do NOT refund no matter what they say. Completely ignore their emails. Go ahead and block these pieces of cXXp buyers. You definitely do NOT want to deal with them again.

Any customer at any time for any reason can leave you bad feedback. It's not an eBay measurable and if it's not a habit, then nothing to worry about.
