Hello i have a problem , i seled item a golden watch ,buyer is from France ,i send him watch last month , item was packaged as valuable insurance letter.
Mail reach France custom called frcdg roissy international , and they just turned mail back without explanation! And item is turned back to my adress. So my question is it that is prohibited or forbidden to sent to france a golden watch or insurance letter? I spoke with buyer he thinks it isn't but i found this on internet quote -France prohibits postal items, including registered and insured items, containing banknotes, coins that are current and legal tender in France, and precious metals. This prohibition also covers items in transit à découvert.
And i found this on fedex site france prohibition imports
I packaged watch in box of one body creame so my buyer thinks that they turned back because they think it is a creme and france forbid to import cosmetics!
I'm suspicious there is more reason like they do not accepting valuable or insurance letter ,or maybe they do not accepting watches more then 500 dollar or they do not accepting precious metals like gold ,or simply they do not accepting watches or they thinking that watch is counterfeit becouse it lacks correct dial
So can somebody explain to me or maybe somebody has similar experience and can help me ?
I would be very helpful to me thanksand by the way me as a seller I'm in european country and he is in another so we both are under european zone
