What is the procedure for dealing with a return?
P.S. I've read what ebay has to say on it, I'd rather hear what experienced sellers have to say.

For a buyer if the item is not as described, it's very easy. You just go to the resolution center, link at bottom of page and file an item not as described case.
For a seller, if an item not as described case is filed you have two choices.
Issue a pad return label and give a full refund when you get it back
Issue a full refund and let the buyer keep it for free. An option when it's not worth paying return shipping to get it back.

Without any more information, I recommend approving the Return, sending a return label and refunding your buyer in full when you get your item back. Good luck.

well sellers is such that you are getting a return.
There is no such thing as no refunds with eBay.
No returns does not mean no refunds.
You as a seller agree to the buyers money back guarantee:
With out more information from you on what type of return not much else can be said except:
If eBay is forced to refund: you will take a hit on metrics as well as most likely fees.

Thank you for your info. The part that confuses me is how do I go about sending a return label?

When you approve the Return, eBay generates the label to the buyer. If you've accepted the Return... check Returns under the Orders tab in your Seller Hub. Click the blue 'See Details' button next to the item. When the next screen populates, you'll see 'Return started' in green at the top of the page.
You should see something like, "We've asked the buyer to ship the item back by Jan XX. Wait until you get the item back before issuing a refund." If you see that, the buyer has the label by now. Good luck.
