Hi,
I sold a set of Yakima Locking Railrider 1 Towers to a new eBay user. The Towers included locks and keys but no “landing pads” which are required for each specific vehicles. Please note that Yakima different types of landing pads which are “tower specific” and are non-interchangeable between different tower styles. A couple of days after delivery I received a return request for the towers for the reason “doesn’t fit”. The buyer then explained that my towers did not match existing landing pads he already owned.
I have no problem accepting the return but eBay charged me for a return label! The buyer had unfortunately failed to identify what type of landing pad he had before purchasing my towers. Obviously, he should have identified compatibility prior to purchasing my towers but he failed to so.
My towers were correctly described and they are compatible with any Locking Rail Rider landing pads. The buyer simply failed to identify his pads before ordering.
How do I get eBay it correct this oversight? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. As if yet I have not informed the buyer of this issue. How should I handle that?
