I don't think it is fair for ebay to impose a 30 day return policy on us. I think 15 max is enough for anyone. I phoned ebay tonight and the girl said "well, if they receive an item and don't look at it for a week, then it wouldn't be fair to have to return it immediately." I don't know anyone who received a parcel and didn't open it right away.

I Beleive you are being very liberal with 15 days I beleive 7 days after receiving the item is plenty. AS far as ebay CS an answer for you is if you wanted the item and wait a week to open it you didnt really want it very bad in the first place.

In the dozens of returns I have a year, perhaps only 1 in 25 are initiated in the 15-30 day window. eBay has a lot of policies that are worthy of complaint, but this doesn't rank in the top 10 for me.
eBay's effort to ease buyer confusion about returns policies is actually something that makes sense.

I don't mind a 30 day policy. It isn't abdormal or excessive IMHO. As another poster stated, the vast majority of claims filed from my customers actually come within a few days of receipt. It is rare for it to be anywhere close to the 30 day mark.
I too think we have much bigger problems as sellers with some of the other policies Ebay has in place.

You're right you don't know me, but I sometimes take days opening packages when I get a lot of them in at the same time. If I happen to become ill, I don't even think about opening a package.
