I recently sold a Mac Duggal Dress for over $300. The buyer tried it on and decided the fit was not right which is completely fine by me as I have returns turned on.
I haven’t had any issues with returns until I received this dress back and it’s COVERED in pet hair. I mean the entire thing and this dress is not cheap. I will most likely need to get it dry cleaned.
Now my question is, how should I handle this situation? Should I deduct the expense of getting the dress dry cleaned or refund the entire thing and move on?
I’ve only started selling on eBay a few months ago so any input is very helpful!

In the refund section of the return case, do you have the option to deduct for anything of that sort?

It looks like it only allows this if the customer is keeping the item? I honestly may eat the fee and move on. Seems like too much work for only a small percentage back.

In order to withhold a portion of the refund @secondglanceco you would have to either offer Free Returns or be a Top Rated Seller. Neither applies here.
So you need to refund in full. Sorry there isn't better news on this front.
You can report the buyer for returning the item in a different condition here.
