The guaranteed delivery date for an item I purchased was yesterday. I have tried to report it late and keep receiving the message, there’s still more time?

Have you received the item yet? Reporting later delivery is usually something you do AFTER the item arrives. Reporting late delivery is premature prior to then and will do nothing for you - it will not speed up delivery.

This is the correct answer. After the item has been confirmed delivered you will see an option in your purchase history to resolve the late arrival. You can't resolve this if you don't have the item as the item may never arrive which would be a bigger issue.
Once the item arrives, go through this process and eBay will either allow you to return it at no charge to you for a full refund, or eBay will refund the shipping charges to you, or eBay will give you a credit of $5 towards a future purchase if the item had free shipping.
You'll be compensated, you just need to wait for the item to arrive 🙂

This is the wrong answer. Before the item has been confirmed delivered, you will see an option in your purchase history to report the late arrival, to get a $5 voucher the next day after the Guaranteed Delivery date, beginning at 8 AM in your local time. You can resolve this if you don't have the item, then if the item never arrives, @sheralee110 you can start a refund request for a full refund on top of your $5 voucher.
