Random Tiny Things from CS@OrangeConnex.com

I don't know quite what to do.  I've gotten a second package from CS@OrangeConnex.com unsolicited.  Inside are tiny tiny what are probably cell phone parts.  The total price of the package can't be more then USD$3 as there's nothing electronic.  This time I was able to identify what they were: they are tiny sim insert holders.  There's no shipping invoice, no activity on my account or credit card.  I'm afraid to contact OrangeConnex because it might be some kind of scam.  I feel horrible that they might be sending these tiny things to me and someone isn't getting the parts.

I think it has to do with ebay because the only english thing on google result for them lead to a eBay community post on what a horrible shipping company they are (LoL!).   Can I just return to sender if I get another one?

I do order tiny parts so I can't just send back any little package I get without opening it.  Can I tape it up and put return to sender?

Has this happened to you? How did you resolve it!?

It is likely a brushing scam, but you are not the victim. Possibly a seller is placing their own (fake) orders to allow that seller to build up ratings or feedback at a site -- possibly not even eBay at all -- and using a third party fulfillment service to send out inexpensive plastic parts to random recipients in order to generate a tracking number that shows delivery.

You can dispose of the items any way you want as they are now your property.

I received an almost empty package from CS@ORANGECONNEX.COM from the same NY address the net is screaming brushing scam about. It had a piece of paper wrapping a piece of a cut zip tie. Pealed the label off & found it was actually from China & said carburetor part.  I've only had this new address a few months & just ordered a carburetor from China about 18 days ago. I got the carburetor but I didn't order this "carburetor part".  Coincidence? I don't think so! I would be very upset if someone did not get a package that came to me or if someone was posting fake rave reviews of scam products in my name.

Contacting eBay by phone is not necessary for a "not as described" case. If you receive an item that is not as described, see here:

I realize this is an old post, but the recent additions are on the same subject, so here goes with part of the Better Business Bureau's description of the "brushing" scam:

Why would such merchandise be sent to you if you didn’t request it? The companies, usually foreign, third-party sellers that are sending the items are simply using your address that they discovered online. Their intention is to make it appear as though you wrote a glowing online review of their merchandise, and that you are a verified buyer of that merchandise. They then post a fake, positive review to improve their products’ ratings, which means more sales for them. The payoff is highly profitable from their perspective.

This is hilarious! LOL I received a rather large Invader Zim stuffed animal backpack! As everyone else said, I never ordered it. It has CS@OrangeConnex.com on it, and it's (supposedly) from 3701 Centrella Street, Franklin Park, IL. There looks to be a lot of random tracking numbers. Other than that, there is no detail, and no receipt or anything in side the package. Its' cute, just very strange 🙂
