Problems with Priority Mail

Hey guys. Package I shipped (Priority) was out for delivery, and now: delivered status not updated. Do I have to call USPS or they know that the scan is missing or they lost a package? Really, is it so hard to scan a package before leaving it in a mailbox???? Customer can say that didn't get it and I would have to return money ($80.00)

 

My package from Chicago to Florida is in transit from six days (Priority). Should be there after two days. I need to return money to my customer ($150.00). 

 

When I called USPS about First Class they told me to ship via Priority Mail if I want them fast. I started shipping via Priority so now telling me to ship via Express. And later what? Overnight? 

 

I don't want to fight with them anymore. I don't have to sell. Just doing it because I like my customers but I'm losing money and my items and it's not my fault.

Calling USPS would be a waste of time. Maybe the package couldn’t be delivered.

What is the date when it got the "Out for delivery" scan?

Out for delivery was yesterday. Today is: delivery status not updated. But I talked to my customer and she got it. Thanks God, it was just missing scan. I was afraid because it's a new customer with 0 feedback, so she could give me a wrong address by mistake. 

 

The second package is still in transit (6 days). Too early to call USPS and open a case. 

 

Actually, I'm gonna come back to First Class Mail - sometimes it's much faster than Priority Mail. And I never had so many problems with First Class.

Yes, USPS from my experience delivers priority mail faster than it does first class.

There is also built in insurance with priority.

 

Mail can sometimes

get delayed, misdirected to the wrong distribution ctr, etc

My mistake. Out for delivery was on Tuesday. And later delivery status not updated. Anyway, still showing that it's not delivered so it's a missing scan. She got it on Tuesday so I'm fine with that. No need to worry that there is a problem with an address.

If this should happen again, the destination post office has the manifest or whatever they call it of where all the packages were suppose to go. The can always tell you. Each day the workers have to account for all the packages that were in their possession, they check this at the end of the day.

I babysit my packages especially when a buyer tells me that the baby got lost. No poor baby should get lost. LOL. I am going to find that baby for sure.

Sometimes an item shows delivery status not updated because of a couple of reasons, 1- it wasn't delivered 2- they didn't download the delivered status yet or 3- item was delivered but not scanned. 

 

If it doesn't show updated tomorrow you should call the receiver's Post Office and  inquire about the package.  You should be able to get the number from Google or USPS 1800 number.

 

If they aren't able to determine what happened to the package you should wait to see if the buyer leaves feedback or inquire about the package. The package does have insurance on it and if it was not scanned and the buyer received it, I'm sure that they wouldn't want to make a false claim with the post office.

When a buyer tells you that they haven't received a package, that is when you start looking into it.

 

You don't need to check a package's progress every day.

 

There isn't a problem unless that buyer tells you that there is a problem.

I have next package "out for delivery" and not delivered. Wow! Day by day. This one is First Class. Different customer. Of course, a new on ebay.
