Package lost Ebay Global Shipping program

This is the very first time this happen to me. I'm not sure how to proceed with this but any suggestion would help. I sold an item under ebay International global shipping program. I sent the item to the GSP center and they did all the import/custom paperwork for it.

The next tracking shows that the package have been sent from the Global center to the international destination. The last tracking states "Unable to Deliver - Parcel scan removed from container". Sounds like the package is lost now. So pretty much this is out of my control.

My buyer is upset and is threatening to file a claim with me and leave me a negative feedback.  I don't know what to do as of now.

Re: Package lost Ebay Global Shipping program

As long as it made it to the GSP center you should be protected from an INR case  I dropped out of GSP a while ago because they were really bad about honoring claims.  When something did go wrong I had to call CS and talk to several different people to get an issue resolved.  Best I can say is call CS and hope they can help?  Also depending on their messages you should be able to get the feedback removed if they try to use bad feedback as extortion.

As long as you shipped it to the address paypal said to ship to, you're good. You're not responsible if they used a forwarding company.

Here is something you don’t read on these boards very often, you are covered. eBay has your back. After a gsp item leaves Kentucky- unless you send something fake, etc, it is no longer your responsibility. They can’t return it. They can’t leave bad feedback. They can’t get your money. Love gsp. I had an expensive ewer break, supposedly, in Moscow and a lost shipment in Italy. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

Do they actually cover stuff?  They refused the last couple problems I had on GSP.  I was told I either had to find a way to get my item returned to me, or give the buyer their money back and lose the item.  I opted out a couple years ago because of that.

Re: Package lost Ebay Global Shipping program

My buyer is upset too. My buyer just got done talking to ebay and they told him/her that they were going to look into it and if the item is lost indeed during transit from GSP to the buyer, they will be opening a claim for the buyer.
I read on some forum here and did some google search for people that have the same issue that I have, and it seems like ebay would give the seller a good run around just like GWZCOMPS said. But those were older threads. Hopefully things change now and you are correct because this is an $230 item.

Re: Package lost Ebay Global Shipping program

You’re covered.  I haven’t seen a lot of issues with eBay refusing to cover an inr in gsp case. And  I’ve had no problem with a SNAD through gsp was resolved in less then 24 hours down me.  I have seen issues when the buyer files with PayPal instead.

Your buyer needs to open an eBay case for INR.  You can call eBay get this closed in your favor and eBay will handle the buyers issue from there.

Only if you don't get a CS that messes everything up.

But if the buyer opens a case, you need to call and make sure they know it's GSP shipment. All of the money back to the buyer will come from the GSP.

Re: Package lost Ebay Global Shipping program

I’m feeling similar “buyer” pain. My item, shipped via GSP has likewise gone “unable to deliver, parcel scan removed from container”.

im really upset, I really wanted this item. It was a $200 item, pre loved, not another one out there!

It’s not the sellers fault, it’s the GSP that is rubbish. I’ll leave it a few days and see if it updates and If not, then lodge a “not received case”. Sad.

GSP does not cover INAD/SNAD (other than damaged in shipping). Seller covers the return/refund.

Some feedback may be removable. Loss/damage would be on GSP. Other reasons for feedback will stick.

They will get their money back in short order for a INAD/SNAD. Seller will refund, or eBay will do it for them.

Re: Package lost Ebay Global Shipping program

here is something funny, they actually can get your money. I don't want to post HOW but if they are a scammer they can steal your goods and your money. Most of these scammers are dumb as dirt though.

If a buyer writes and tells you to return their money because the item has not arrived you tell them to file their claim with eBay for a LOST item. It ls easy for them, they go their bought order - file a lost item claim, eBay should not even contact the seller and if some how the seller is allowed to leave a bad feedback eBay will take it off if not automatically then with a phone call from the seller.
SOMETIMES the package is NOT lost, the tracking doesn't get reordered after a certain point and the buyer still receives it but there is no record he got it, this provides a dishonest BUYER an opportunity to steal it away from eBay - not the seller. The other way this can work is just sickening and like I said, I am not going to post it for fear someone who was to dumb to think of it will see it and do it. People that have sold and got ripped off since 2015 and eBay tells them too bad already know what happened but not one of them I have read their complaints from realize how it was accomplished. LOL
eBay staff that you call DO NOT KNOW ALL THE ANSWERS! some of them are plain stupid, they do not know the rules. If they tell you to give some buyer their money back you hang up EVERY TIME and call back until you get someone that has a freaking clue. seriously, you don't ever have to do that because they say. I have had eBay support that didn't have a clue , recently even.

"BUYER" is what I meant   Not seller    if the buyer is allowed to post a bad feedback it will be removed from the sellers account.
