Package Research Case Closed

I realize that this topic has been heavily discussed. I sold a gold coin, insured the heck out of shipment, and buyer states not received. USPS states Package Research Case Closed. I filed an insurance claim but the resolution takes 30-60 days.

eBay, of course, place a hefty hold on my funds, screwed up the rest of my payouts, and obviously, like everyone else on this planet need those funds to pay my bills.

I'm considering not shipping my outstanding orders, canceling them all and listing on my other seller platforms so my funds aren't held in limbo. Can't afford to lose money.

By the way tracking the "lost" package states that it's sitting at the Buyer's post office destination.

Aren't Sellers protected anywhere on eBay?

You should not refuse to ship other paid orders.  eBay will give you a serious NPS strike for that.   See if you can call the phone number on the USPS web site.  They can pull up a lot more tracking info than what is on line.  If the package is sitting in a post office see why it's not being delivered.

Seems strange as a refused package would be returned.

You will lose more by cancelling those sales.  Why screw those buyers?   Why don't you list more stuff in your other sites and hopefully the money will continue to come in.  You can still print the shipping label through Ebay if the funds are being held.  Ebay will release the exact amount of the postage.

You need to call that post office and tell them to move their butts and deliver the package. There is NO way that the insurance will pay you if the item is sitting in a shelf somewhere.   IS this the buyer's zipcode?  Why don't you tell the buyer to pick up the package before they void their buyer protection.

If they do not respond, see if you can the post office and have them return the package to you.  They can't leave it there on the shelf.   It's supposed to be delivered or returned to the seller after X days.  X could be 5 days or whatever that post office decides.    If the item is held a long time, it could be because the buyer is on vacation and put a hold on the mail.    Anyway, you can find out by calling that post office.  Look up the phone number on google.

I believe I might be done with selling on eBay. Holding up funds from Seller while it clearly shows on the tracking that package was shipped is bad policy. It should be that the Buyer has to go after USPS to locate package.

I shipped an insured package via USPS Priority Mail the same day of the sale.

Here's the tracking number by the way:  9405509205568733254091

and as for the NPS strike you mentioned... only after you are in my shoes will you realize that NPS strike means nothing to me after my husband died of COVID-19, everything in the world isn't what it seems.

Holding funds is going to become more and more common as the new banking laws about internet sales fall into place.

What has happened to you is happening on other sites as the government cracks down on money laundering using 3 party sites.

You are right we get too caught up in things that aren't important.

You might be able to do a package retrieval from the UPS website,.
