Hello;
On January 26 I placed an order for 10 piece knuckle rings (colour: silver-black) and received an email that I have paid with pay pal and that the item has shipped to my address and also received the tracking number. So I thought, of course, it's on the way to me. Today, February 3th, I was just curious and clicked on the tracking number. It linked me to the sellers site with the rings and on top of the site it said "Sorry, you missed out on this item." I didn't receive any email, that told me, I missed out on the item. Does this mean, it's sold out and I won't receive it or that it's sold out and I can't buy another set if I would like? Sorry, but it's my first order on eBay and I just want to be sure, if I'm going to get what I paid for or not.
Of course, when I bought this, it wasn't sold out, that's why I paid for it.
Thank you for your help in advance. Anja

Where are you when you're clicking the tracking number link? The email, your eBay account, or PayPal? If you paid via PayPal, log in and click the tracking number link from there. Alternatively, if this item was sold by a U.S. seller, the carrier is probably USPS or UPS. Try copying and pasting the tracking number into their respective tracking systems and see what comes up. Just type USPS tracking into Google and a tracking window pops up. Same thing for UPS.

I expect it just meant those rings are sold out ..now. If you have a tracking number, you should be ok. If you dont get the rings a day after the last estimated delivery date, file an item not received complaint at Ebay, you have thirty days from delivery..or six months at Paypal to do that.

@hazel_eyes_anja @@ can you post a screenshot of the page on which you clicked the tracking number (obscuring personal information, of course)?

Thank you for your reply. I thought it is, that they are sold out now and I couldn't purchase another set of rings if I wanted. I just needed to be sure, because, as said in the title, it's my first order from eBay.

Hello;
Thank you for your reply. I attached 2 images. One is the shipping email and one the sellers site that said " you missed out on this item" when I click my tracking number.

Hello;
Thank you for your reply. I clicked the tracking number from the eBay mail. Will try the number from PayPal.

Looks like a shady Chinese seller. Was this one of the sets they're offering for around $1.30? You can wait until the last estimated delivery date and then file an INR (Item Not Received) dispute, but you may be out that money, as this is a huge overseas seller that eBay seems to hold to a different standard than US based small sellers (who are actually required to obey the rules and are punished if they do not).
I'm so sorry this was your first eBay buying experience. It is the exception, not the norm. Come back when the day of the last estimated delivery date for your package comes if it doesn't arrive, so we can help you with the INR dispute.
