Media mail

I am really confused by Media Mail. I have a couple of the popular cook book card systems in a plastic box for sale. I try very hard to be fair in my shipping rates. I DO NOT have s store on ebay and am just trying to make a few dollars selling on ebay. I see many people listing these same items with Media Mail shipping, which is WAY cheaper. I don't think these qualify as Media Mail and I'm afraid to use it. I would love to know it they do qualify so I can be competitive with my shipping!

Media Mail rates are limited to the items listed below:
  • Books (at least 8 pages).
  • Sound recordings and video recordings, such as CDs and DVDs.
  • Play scripts and manuscripts for books, periodicals, and music.
  • Printed music.

Re: Media mail

No, they don't qualify. Many eBay sellers misuse Media Mail, and it's very frustrating to their competitors, especially in comic books and magazines.

Here's a handy reference chart that USPS put together for staff:

Re: Media mail

I once bought shipping labels and they were sent Media Mail. I guess, on the theory that the package was SHAPED like a book.
