Mailing fees

I am perplexed how some people can sell an item for just a couple of bucks and include free shipping.  Most of my items are small and can go USPS First Class for about $4 and change.  I've seen items sell on eBay for under $4 w/free shipping.  Is there a cheaper way than USPS First Class?

Some people likely risk it and use First Class Mail Letter instead of First Class Mail Parcel.

There are a few possibilities.

They are in China where the postage is pennies on the dollar compared to US postage.

They are mailing as a first class letter with a regular stamp (55 cents I think)

The have a feedback or selling level that is in trouble and they are basically "buying" transactions to get those numbers back up.

They are a new seller who has yet to learn that they are about to be screwed.

Do not let others determine what you do.
