I’m a seller and I put the wrong weight on a mailing label. It should have been 1 pound and I entered 2 pounds. I know when I don’t pay enough for shipping USPS take it out of my account. If I overpay will they reimburse me?

I did the same thing yesterday. I put 5 ounces but at the Post Office it weighed 3.6 ounces.
I have heard of people getting an automatic refund, but it is rare and I would not count on it.
Did you purchase the label on eBay? You can cancel the label and purchase the correct label. It takes about three weeks, and you would be refunded for the cancelled label.
See if this will take you to your labels from eBay and you can cancel the label from this page.

If they catch it, yes USPS does issue overpaid postage refunds. Takes them a bit to do so. If you did not ship/use the label yet, you can also purchase a second label & request first be cancelled & refunded. Also takes a bit but it gets reflected upon your statements.
