Lost package

Hello, I recently sold an item and have not seen any updates on the tracking number. it’s been two weeks and the only update is that the label has been created. I’ve checked my apartment’s mail room and it’s not there and USPS says that they can’t do anything because it’s not scanned in their system, I did fill out a lot missing mail form a couple days ago. The buyer hasn’t contacted me yet, and I’m not sure when or if I should reach out. what should I do?

(it was an expensive sell)

Thanks,

A missing mail request isn't going to help because the item was never scanned into the system.

If you believe it was mailed (i.e., left your possession), I'd wait until the buyer contacts you.

Although it's unusual for an item not to get any scans at all, it's very possible that it was delivered.

If the buyer opens a claim for non-receipt, respond to the case with the tracking number. If it hasn't shown any movement by that time, you'll need to issue a refund.

But again, I wouldn't contact the buyer. They'll let you know if they don't receive the item.

Is your apartment's mail room the last place you left it or did you physically hand it off to your postman?

Lost package

I have one I handed over the counter at the PO, but it's an ebay standard envelope. No scans at all in several days, just hoping it gets an out for delivery scan so I know, but sometimes the first time I see anything is buyer feedback when they get it.
