I bought an item from a seller for 47.38, seller ships the item on June 7th, 2018. Item goes out for delivery 3 days later but USPS claims they couldn’t drop it off and left a slip (they didn’t). I call USPS and direct me to pick up the package at my local post office. I go there and they can’t seem to find it. They get in contact with the driver and they don’t have it either. A missing case is open for the package and my 30 day safety is closing soon since it’s been 22 days since it was shipped so I got eBay involved. I’m nervous I’m going to lose this case even though the tracking shows it was never delivered and there’s an ongoing investigation .

You won't lose the case. The only the the seller can win is if he doesn't have proof of delivery 🙂

Sorry, you will lose.
eBay considers Notice Left, No Such Number, Unable to Deliver, etc as delivered. You will lose if you click Ask eBay to step in it.
Instead, call eBay and point out that USPS is investigating --
and you should get a courtesy refund, since this is not your seller's fault.

Wow so much work. I think this is the first time I have seen a post and agree it is not your fault and certainly not the seller's fault. I don't thinkthe seller will be involved since she/he shipped the item and ebay should be able to direct you as to what will take place if you call them. Seems to me like the postal carrier has some responsibility in this, thus so does the USPS. I hope you at lease see a rsolve in site by now.

eBay has placed this case on hold til July 4th. Seller was quick with updates but now that case is open with eBay he will not reply to any messages now. I'm sure he is upset due to telling me not to open a case with eBay but I refuse to lose my Money Back Guaranteed

Just a heads up that the 30 days for a claim doesn’t start once an item has been shipped. It starts 30 days after the last estimated delivery date or once the package has been delivered.
