Local pickup, no code or 6 digit number

I have a buyer that lives a couple hours drive from me.  She buys quite a lot of items and sometimes it is a while until we can meet up and she can get her purchases.  She pays right before we meet up.  Before, I was just able to click a button indicating that she picked up.  Now ebay wants a 6 digit codes of a scanned code but she did not get anything like that in her purchase confirmations, she sent me the screen shot of the emails from ebay.  This is a trusted long term customer.   How am I supposed to confirm that I have gotten her items to her??????

Did you have the Local Pickup option on the listing and is that what the buyer selected when purchasing the item?

Is this the lot of items that sold over 2 mos ago on Aug 9th? I'm not sure if the local pickup code is still valid after all that time.

If it's a trusted long term customer then I wouldn't even worry about it. Entering the code is there for protections, so if the buyer is trusted and not going to file false non-receipt claims, then it won't make a difference if the code is entered or not. Kind of like shipping without tracking - it's a risk to the seller, but if it's going to a trusted repeat buyer, that eliminates most of the risk.
