Issues Buying eBay Standard Envelope

Hello.  I've been trying to generate eBay standard envelopes for a few of my recent, low-value baseball card sales. 

When I set up the labels and hit "Confirm and Pay" I get a "Label could not be generated.  You have not been charged for this label."

Has this happened to anyone?  If so, were you able to resolve and is it a simple fix? 

Please note, I did not list the standard envelope as the shipping option (I was going to ship it in a PWE without tracking per usual), so I was just testing the process out with these couple of sales.  I figured that was OK since they are similar in cost (only a 4 cent difference in price) and the buyer would get tracking and insurance anyway.

Does my issue have anything to do with not having the standard envelope option available to the buyer?

Sounds like it's a systemic problem for eBay and they appear to be aware of the problem.

I used this label for first to mail a baseball card. The Post Office where I dropped it off says there is NO WAY to scan these labels for tracking to confirm the delivery. The Post Office actually asked me if they could photo copy my label because they needed show the Main Office & find out how to track these eBay tracking numbers

Indeed, they can't be scanned at the retail counter or by hand scanners. It's a different type of tracking number, which is scanned at sorting centers.

Yes, of course the labels scan... by high speed machine which is how they are intended to be scanned. Which is what get's you cheap rates. I been sending single cards for 1oz = 51 cents.

About half of my envelopes are updating with tracking information and half aren't.  Getting really frustrated with buyers emailing on those labels that aren't updating, asking if their cards have been shipped.  And now EBay's hitting my 'tracking report' with defects for not having a 'carrier scan' and/or not showing them scanned as delivered.  These are THEIR labels and they are purchased through THEIR system, and they aren't being scanned reliably by the post office.  As a seller I'm getting frustrated with my account standing potentially taking a hit for something that their labels aren't consistently delivering on...tracking...as they promised.  And then they also don't give us an effective way to reach out to EBay to get answers or assistance.  I may have to go back to charging more for my packages for shipping, and go back to the regular first class package shipping in order to get reliable tracking information and to protect my seller account ratings.  Really disappointed.

So far I have had 3 packages returned (had to resend with regular postage & lost money), 4 items delivered, 3 that I have sent out regular posatage (lost money again) so they dont get lost and 3 that are in out in space somewhere! What a debacle this is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used the new system successfully since the end of January. It seems to work well for me. I put the blank envelope in the printer and it pops out 10 seconds later addressed with postage and tracking right on the envelope.  It even saved me from a scam ITEM NOT RECEIVED claim last week.

Whenever I sell a trading card I select trading card envelope as shipping before it's sold but when I make the label it makes me use media mail and the trading card envelope is not an option.

How did you get them to print with the correct orientation?  I have confirmed it's not my printer as I tested a batch of 10, 8 were oriented wrong while 2 were perfect.  I confirmed the 10 listings had the same shipping types, sizes, and page setup.  I didn't change my printer setup/settings at all during the test.

Try printing your labels with the adhesive label. If you are taping over your printed label the tape may hinder the sorting machines ability to read code. Since I switched to adhesive labels all my Ebay Envelopes update tracking.

I agree 100%. I am having the same problems. The idea was great. But the tracking and delivery issues are making look like a bad seller.
