Is this a valid tracking number?

I bought an item on July 20 and received this tracking number . I know that ones ending in CN is china post but they start with RR. In ebays tracking it says the carrier is WYT. I went to WYT's website tonight and tried to track but comes up as not found in system. I tried a couple of the multi carrier tracking services and came up as not found or unknown.

That's really just a package ID, which is useful if you have several packages all arriving around the same time.

It's only trackable up to a certain point in your seller's country. You'll see on the address label: Internal use only, do not scan.

What was the result of your efforts,  did you ever get the item?

Same thing going on with me;

Tracking number ID18012070232241CN

"Carrier" WYT which sounds like WINIT ? a forwarding service in China only and the buyer gets screwed out of their money. 

I hope ebay / PayPal will make it right.  Ebay allows it.  They should redid the $ if they can't get it out of the seller...which they did remove. We will see...

Guys, that's an order number. If you put it here (in my case anyway) you can get the actual tracking number!

Depends. You put your order number (IDxxx...) and the first or second column in that page will give you your actual tracking number that's 13 digits long and can be used in other services like 17track to see where your parcel is it looks like R**********CN

RR is usually just for registered mail.

If I use the following url to track that number and hover my mouse over the part on the right side that package is enroute to carrier Hong Kong Post on July 25th, 2017  

I don't know...perhaps they use that same order number over and over?  If the package is on its way, I doubt that it does have tracking.

I was too late to edit my last post but wanted to clarify that I have no idea if it is a Winit number, I'm just guessing.

If that number is in your purchase history, can you click on it there for more info?

That tracking # appears to be for a WINIT package that was shipped on Dec 16, 2017, and last scanned on Dec 17, 2017 "in transit". So it is not a valid tracking number at this time. If they reuse tracking numbers as some carriers do, this one has not been reused (or scanned) since Dec 2017.
