I purchased an item from the US, and had it delivered to the UK. The seller used the GSP. I paid for the GSP charges separately. I returned the item. Now I want to get a refund for whatever VAT import tax I paid on the item from HMRC (customs). I've spoken to eBay twice about this and no one has any idea what i'm talking about. But clearly, there is import tax paid and there is a record of this - there must have been an airway bill or import certificate but it wasn't with the item when it was delivered to me. Has anyone successfully obtained documents showing the VAT paid from eBay/GSP in the past?
