Hi all!
I just had a buyer contact me and tell me that part of an item they bought from me arrived broken (the lid of a porcelain tureen). The item was shipped to them though EIS. (I shipped it to Illinois, they handled it from there).
I've just spent the past hour looking online for instructions that I can send to the buyer to explain to them how to file a claim with eBay for the damage, but I've come up empty handed.
Everything I can find agrees that it's eBay's problem and not mine, but no one lays out what the process is from the buyer's side in this situation. I like to be able to walk buyers (especially foreign buyers) though stuff like this, so that everything goes as smoothly as possible, so I'm really frustrated by the lack of clarity on this specific type of eBay insurance claim.
Thanks in advance for any help y'all can give.

Buyer should just file an eBay claim as usual.

Tell the buyer to open a case for damaged Item.
Since the item was shipped with eIS eBay should take care of it.
Show your buyer these images below. Your buyer may be required to submit a picture of damage.

There is no real need to explain anything.
Once your item hits Glendale, you aren't responsible for it.
