How many ebayers think that ebay should get usps to deliver on time

I have watched ebay items ive bought since the last four years get slower and slower since biden put this guy in charge of usps mail service get slower and slower and rates went up alot to ship things ebay should contact usps and get a solution figured out so we dont have to wait 5 to 10  days to get things moved , i used to sell on here and stopped because of all the waiting on things getting delivered in a timely manner, then their president had the irs started going after people who sold more than $600.00 a year, this place should be a free enterprise for people who alot are trying to make money to survive with not harassing them .

You are misunderstanding everything you talked about. The USPS has been in decline for years try decades. USPS will always have issues on the timing of delivery. Other carriers experience the same thing. Sellers still use USPS cause of the cost. So nothing will be done as far as that. You did the right thing. Stop selling if it's a issue for you. As far as the $600 threshold on the IRS well first off it's been announced its $5000 this year, $2500 in 2025 then $600 in 2026. You are required to pay taxes no matter what amount of money you make. So all you are trying to promote is trying to be a nonpaying tax payer.  Ebay and other platforms are for business. You profit so you need to pay your fair share of taxes. If you need to make money to survive tax free the have a yard sale.

I'm actually not having an issue with the USPS delivery times, except for the 1 package stuck on a boat going to Hawaii.

Personally, and I share this opinion with other people, I think it's only a matter of time until Amazon takes over the postal system in this country.

Actually, Dejoy was known for being a donor for both parties. He like others gives money to those in power or who may be in power. Everyone thinks he should go. It will be interesting to see what legal arguments can be made to privatize the USPS. This year it will lose an estimated 9.5 billion dollars.

First off Dejoy was put in by Trump not Biden. Second eBay doesn't own the USPS.

How can eBay get USPS to deliver on time?  Are eBay employees supposed to go drive postal trucks and sort packages on their time off?  I mean seriously, what do you expect eBay to do that hasn't already been done?

Personally, both Better half and I have mailed USPS for over 20 years......separate accounts, separate states early on.......  Very few problems.......  Our experience isn't necessarily indicative of everyone......but then again, neither is yours.

I think that is something we all agree on. To be fair, no one can turn the post office around unless it has major changes which is nearly impossible. I have not had any real issues with USPS but it is obvious many have. Plus Dejoy acting like a clown does not do anything but show why he needs to be replaced. Still not going to matter who they put in unfortunately.

How is reporting your income harassing?

If sellers reported their income like they are supposed to, payment processors wouldn't have to.

Not sure what you think Ebay can do to get USPS to deliver faster?

      It will be interesting indeed. The first hurdle may be the amendment to the US Constitution, specifically Article I, Section 8. Then you get into all the issues with regards to the transition: assets, copyrights, employees, retirement program..................... Not saying this could not be done but one heck of a task that would take YEARS!!

     The issuance threshold depends on what state you live in.

     I am not sure what power you think eBay has over USPS or what part eBay actually plays in any of the logistical aspects of eBay transactions other than the EIS program. EBay actually does a decent job of trying to keep up with potential issues that could impact delivery such as weather, natural disasters or other external factors like the Canadian postal strike. 

     The one area eBay has come up short, and this  happens every year, is they fail to allocate or factor in the holiday surge. The number of postings on this forum related to INR's has always surged over the holidays and 2020 was compounded by COVID and was a total disaster. For the volume of mail and packages USPS moves I have always thought they did a pretty good job. The only issues I have had were a few late deliveries over the years, mostly weather or disaster related and a few lost packages that I was reimbursed for in a pretty quick manner. I did have an unusual number of packages, 5 to be exact, lost in the spring of 2024 during all the flooding. None were ever found and I assume are floating down a river somewhere. The buyer was fully refunded and I was reimbursed for everyone of those by USPS. 

     Not sure why you limit this to USPS and did not include UPS and/or FedEx which also have the same issues on a smaller scale but they also have a smaller volume overall.
