I bought an item with guaranteed delivery by Monday, May 13th.

Yesterday comes and goes, no item. Tried to report late delivery yesterday, ebay says the item is not past it's guaranteed delivery date.

Tried to report late delivery this morning, ebay says it's not past guaranteed delivery date. Item stills says guaranteed delivery by May 13th.

Item arrived today, ebay says item arrived by it's guaranteed delivery date.

What gives? Is guaranteed delivery just one more item that ebay makes exceptions for certain members?

Call customer service and explain what you just communicated.

In the past, you could not report a late delivery until after it was actually delivered ... but you still should be able to receive compensation for the late delivery after it has arrived.

Make sure to look at the confirmation email that you received after you purchased the item. I had this scenario where I thought it was guaranteed by a certain date, but the confirmation email had a different guaranteed date, which is the date that Ebay used. My item still arrived after the guaranteed date in the confirm email so Ebay gave me my concession, however they wouldn't give it to me until after the tracking showed delivery after the guaranteed date, and not after the guaranteed date passed. So you may just need to wait until the tracking shows delivered.

The odds are good @oddsaregood that the OP wrote in the OP that the OP did that/that happened to the OP but eBay denied giving the vulture to the OP.

I have seen the delivery date change on guaranteed delivery items. The first time it happened of course I thought I made a mistake, then I saw it again. What good is a guaranteed delivery date if it changes. Funny how those things seem to happen when the money is coming out of eBay's pocket.

This is correct. Even though when I purchased the item it said guaranteed delivery by the 13th, and in my orders it said guaranteed delivery by the 13th, the e-mail said guaranteed delivery by 13-15th.

Why does ebay do this stuff to us? It's like they're trying to get me to buy from Amazon.

Just don't promise me things and then change the deal. They're destroying the best things about ebay trying to be amazon.
