How do you protect yourself from false returns? And how do you feel when it happens to you?

You don't. eBay straight up told me that you will accept a return at some stage. I had a guy return an electronic 4 weeks later claiming it was broke. I fought it as it was an obvious lie. I ended up being forced to take the item back. I got it back and offered proof to eBay they lied. They didn't want it. eBay doesn't care about their sellers. Just buyers.

The return policy should not be covering preowned or used items unless lost or damaged. I have tried every kind of return forced on me. I have a no return policy now and it does not matter. Buyers see the advertisement for Money Back which is promoted more than the product. I don't think any or very few buyers read the description. All they see is ebay money back signs all over. Sellers do all the work and are charged all kinds of fees plus have to pay all the overhead costs. After all of that they have to deal with a return and then are forced into paying for a label and then no matter if the buyer ships back a broken, different item or a empty box are forced to refund the buyer. Ebay used to be fun 15 to 20 years ago. Now they have it so ucked up that it is stressful to sell.
