How do I get VAT refund?

I have ordered some products from India for which I have payed VAT to EBay. Netherlands customs charged me for the VAT as well.  The post office tells me I must request for the VAT refund from the seller. How do I get my refund from EBay?

You'll have to contact eBay customer service. The seller has nothing to do with VAT collection/remittance here on the .com site.

Contact eBay customer service and provide a copy of the receipt showing you paid VAT to customs and ask them to refund the VAT you paid through eBay.

If this happens again you might try showing Netherlands customs a copy of your eBay transaction that shows you already paid VAT.

I contacted ebay many times over this past year about a VAT refund. Last 2 times ive been straight up lied to on the live chat. Ive been promised many times that the refund will be initiated and ill receive it within 7 days. Any advice on what i should do?
