Help please, buyer returned differnt items

So to make a long story short, we sell expensive items on ebay, about $3000.00 each, data processors.  One buyer purchased 7 of them, he had 10 positive feedback, been on ebay for about a year, paid right away, messaged thanks ect.. so felt it was ok as we had "seller protection".

After receiving the items and signing for htem he opened a claim for item not received, i submitted all info to ebay, and they closed the case showing he did receive them.

Than he opens a claim for all of them are broken, and they are all wrong.  Ebay unfortunitly forced us to send them return labels to get the items back.  We had documented photos of the items we shipped, serial numbers, weights of packages ect.....  we messaged him multiple times with no response to any messages at all.

Buyer shipped back 7 different items worth nothing, and ebay refunded him.

We asked about an appeal, and said we cant appeal it, and also said seller protection does not cover us as we are a "business" and we should account for stuff like this.

I mean, is this really the norm?  Where am i supposed to go from here.  Coincidentally we see our similar items with serial numbers blocked out for sale now 5 miles from his zip code.  This is crazy.

It sucks, but a buyer can send back any piece of junk laying around and we have to send them a full refund.

If they were shipped USPS, you can file a mail fraud case with them.

I would also let the buyer know that different items were returned so you are going to file a police report and a fraud case through USPS and ask them to help as much as they can with the case.

Have a great day.

What about the NEW Ebay return system about receiving the wrong or damaged items from buyers. Ebay refuses to ackowledge they sent this message out to sellers and still won't allow photos to substantiate damage and still always sides with the buyer. It is totally fake.

The seller needs to contact the high value claims dept at Ebay and go over this case with someone who can try to help him. This is an insane amount of money to loose and this SCAMMER even started this scam by claiming an INR with signature tracking, This is  one of the most insane case I have seen here so far and if Ebay cannot step in and help, the OP should contact the police in the buyers town and get on this as well as file mail fraud charges. I would also suggest that the OP look into starting small claim court, or wait, grand larceny if this is an over 20,000.00 loss. I'm speechless over this and I wish this OP the best in getting his issue resolved.

If you're seriously talking about $20,000.00, you need to be enroute to the buyer's locale and be sitting down with their local police.  You should have been there by now.

OK kids, time to get the Dodge loaded up again. I hear 'Poppy's By the Tree' calling. This trip might be a long one too.

3K each and 7 of them. If so what are you doing posting this on Ebay? You  just need to hire a attourney and get your legal case rolling.

If your selling items around 3k each you can put a limit of 1 transaction per buyer.

Have to add to this: What in the world are these people thinking when they think they are going to get away with a 20,000.00 dollar scam? Do they not know , care, stupid, so antisocial , arrogant, that they they will get away with this. OH NO. Get on this OP asap and catch this scammer and get them off the internet and in prison where they belong. Sorry for the rant but this is just crazy.

But they do get away with it most of the time. Sad but true.

I am really laughing at this one. So they told you you are a business and you need to account for  a 20,000.00 loss.  Yes, in general that is the way it works here, but unless you are a multimillion dollar sellers, 20,000.00 bucks is no small loss indeed.  First, I would have NEVER SOLD 20,000.00 worth of merchandise to one buyer. Way too much risk. Second, the internet is not a safe place to sell that much if you CANNOT cover such a loss. I am hoping with all my heart you can find some way to recover something from this if not the whole lot of it. Best to you.

File a police report.  Notify the P.O. also for mail fraud. You may want to get some further legal advice.

We did talk to high value department multiple times, its so **bleep** frustrating. We did also contact the police, they say they cannot take a report since its overs state lines and said our only option is to file a report on the fbi internet crime complaint center ic3, which we did, doubt that will do anything but put us as a statistic.

Along with Mail Fraud and ic3; since you know which state it was delivered to, contact that States Attorney General.  Just google the state to find it.  Keep each and every piece of correspondence/mailings/signature confirmations, etc., and do not, I repeat, do not throw away/delete anything.  Print out copies of the listing(s) before they are removed from eBay, any and all correspondence w/eBay and from the buyer.  The amount that was over 20k, so I am not sure which degree of crime (dependent on the location of the buyer), but the amount is not chump change.  And while you are at it, keep the total PP transaction, showing payment received and payment removed.

I wish you luck in recouping the money
