Have you tried eBay labels with QR codes?

Recently eBay labels began to offer QR code feature for UPS. Today eBay expanded the feature to include USPS. So when you pay for shipping on eBay instead of printing labels you can download QR codes and scan them at a UPS store or post office and have them printed for you. Have you used it yet? It can save me a trip to printshop and $.50 a label.

Re: Have you tried eBay labels with QR codes?

I tried it tonight because I just got the message and coincidentally my printer is not working. I got to the page to purchase shipping and it did not list QR code availability as the directions indicated and under change label format, QR code was not listed as an option. I called support and they are passing it on to tech support. I don't know if I did something wrong or if eBay did.

It does not work. Not surprising considering it is Ebay. It downloaded somewhere but cannot be found on my phone.  A screenshot I made just because I expected problems, cannot be read by USPS’s scanner on location so that was a wasted trip.  It states that a cooy of the QR code is send to my Ebay and email. NOT the case. What a letdown….again.

Re: Have you tried eBay labels with QR codes?

eBay would love for this to work, so next they won't even tell you who the buyer is or where, due to eBay's paranoia about offsite sales.  eBay wants all buyers simply to be eBay's customers, not the sellers'.  But eBay ain't the River, and the flow from San Jose is a lot darker.

List more, sell more. Goodwill that other, uh, stuff.

Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.

Re: Have you tried eBay labels with QR codes?

It's criminal!  I was going to return a $5 item that the seller most likely knew didn't work and I have to go to the Post Office and wait in line to have a QR code printed out?  Really??  That's pretty tricky for a seller sending out defective items because few people are going to go to the bother!  Disgusting!  Isn't there a way you can just print out the label yourself like in the past?
