To eBayers in the mainland:
Guam is considered DOMESTIC MAIL. USPS is the fastest, easiest, and most economical way to ship to this part of the world. It's a hop, skip and a jump. If you're worried about the lengthy waiting time for paypay to release funds due to item not being received, send it USPS Priority. It's fairly cheap depending on the size and weight of item of course. But Priority Mail boxes can take up to 70 lbs. Pricing from 7.61 to 21.10. Very reasonable. I have had items come in from NY, NY in as fast as 7 days. My suggestion to you sellers, do your homework in logistics. Size up your item and choose the best Priority box for the shipment.
Guam has over 130,000 people that's locals and military personnel and their families. Untapped potential money that you guys are missing out on. Think about it. They could give your sales a boost! Just a tip. Stay safe always.

This is a nice educational post. We're from Hawaii and we're domestic as well. For some reason, there are many sellers that leave out Hawaii and Alaska.

I agree that sellers should not hesitate to ship to Guam and that USPS Priority Mail is their best choice.
But your pricing is off. That price of $21.10 is for the Large flat rate box. If a seller purchases their postage online, the price goes down to $18.30. But for items that won't fit into a flat rate box, the price can be steep: Two pounds costs $11.19; 7 pounds, $27.55. And if you want to hit the maximum and ship a 70-pound package, it will cost $136.62. These are the Zone 8 prices: for a seller in California, shipping to you costs the same as shipping to me on the east coast; for me, shipping to you costs the same as to California.

super helpful post. i freaked out and canceled an order from guam without really doing my homework. id highly recommend getting in touch with any buyer from guam and reading their feedback history. theres no need to generalize to the entire population. a legit buyer is a legit buyer.

I have my shipping locations set to include Hawaii, Alaska, and the U.S. Protectorates. How long does it take for First Class and Media Mail take to reach Guam from California? I had one buyer in Hawaii ask me to upgrade my shipping method from First Class to Priority Mail as he stated it took too long.

LA,
FCM go ocean route. Once it get on board a vessel in Cali, a ship roughly takes 14 days to reach Guam. USPS is going through some weird changes with a new Boss and COVID and FCM are reaching ridiculous shipping time. I'm talking 30+ days. Media mail i'm not too sure if it travels air or ocean.

Almost certainly on a boat, but one thing's for sure, it goes pretty much LAST.
