Fedex Experiencing Issues

When looking to purchase a label through Fedex, it has a red disclaimer that says they are experiencing issues. Does anybody know the details concerning this?  Do you think it's best not to buy a label?  Thank you!

Not sure related. Was having something shipped from a shipper via FedEx, got the tracking number, for 3 days has said awaiting item/ Shipper is investigating.

You might also want to Google UPS delivery problems". They are having them too along with, we already knew, the USPS.

Mostly labor shortages. FedEx says they are down 35% workers. They are looking to hire 90,000 workers. What does that tell you about prompt deliveries?

There are labor shortages being reported everywhere ... Amazon can't find enough warehouse workers, restaurants can't find enough servers.  I'm seeing $15 (and up) an hour rates everywhere (up from $10 an hour about 2 years ago).

So, for those who can't seem to make profits from sales on eBay any longer, or the Uber drivers barely making minimum wage, it seems like a great time to switch.  😁

I purchased a label for FedEx yesterday, Before this notice appeared. And then another FedEx label today.

Wanted to keep Top Rated status having worked so hard for it..... And as eBay is aware of the issue, I am sure they are working on a solution.

Of course, eBay's message on that screen is about as clear as mud!  Are they really talking about FedEx delivery issues to warn sellers before choosing that option OR are they talking about a problem printing FedEx shipping labels?  When I see the message worded "FedEx is experiencing issues at the moment" that implies it is an issue for a few minutes or hours, not weeks.  Then it says "if affected, ask that you try again later".  This seems like they're talking about a shipping LABEL issue, not a longer term delivery issue.  I haven't tried to print a label yet but will need to do so on Monday and I don't know if it will print.  eBay didn't grey out the option so I'm hoping it will.  Changing to a different carrier will be a significant increase in cost on all my sales this weekend so I'm a little concerned.

Has anyone tried to print a FedEx label with this message showing and did it print correctly?  It wasn't there yesterday when I printed all my labels.

I have a package coming to me, stuck at the Sacramento Fedex facility since last Sunday. It took 2 weeks to get there from GA. And I have 3 more in the pipeline from there. Oh boy.

FedEx and especially ebay FedEx has been having more problems than ever.   Do yourself a favor, open your own UPS account, and link it to your PayPal account (from PayPal shipping) for the same discounts using the UPS website.  This avoids both ebay and FedEx problems.

that would be fine but sometimes FedEx is a better deal, sometimes UPS is a better deal. would someone please let us know if they have been able to purchase and print a Fedex label since this warning has been on ebay.

Often FedEx does seem like the better deal on ebay, but many times the ebay quote is not correct and the actual charge never in your favor.  You also can get your own free FedEx account and at least get correct quotes with similar discounts.

After being a long time loyal FedEx user there have been just too many scan errors, both for weight and dimensions, as well as delays and home delivery problems.  So when my personal rep who would take care of things retired, I had to drop FedEx.

I have been able to purchase and print labels despite the warning message.  I just checked an item I shipped from Mass to Texas - it went out on 10/21 and is out for delivery today.  So all looks ok so far....

I've seen the warning since yesterday but have gotten boxes from them both yesterday and today.  The tracking pages were red too but all is well.

The message has disappeared (8:30pm EST Sunday night 10/24)!  Whatever the problem was, it doesn't seem to be an issue right now.  That message was as clear as mud!  "FedEx experiencing issues" - some thought it was talking about package delivery issues, some thought it was talking about issues with printing labels.  Who knows what it was but hopefully it's fixed now.
