FedEx Shipping Ground versus Home

cg2hyper

When I ship an item to a buyer, the shipping system will "figure" out if it is a home or business address for FedEx delivery (FedEx Home & FedEx ground).  Both are ground based shipments, each have a different service expectation and possibly cost.  I have sent items to buyers, that are clearly business addresses, that the shipping system will not allow me to change to FedEx Ground, rather than forcing to use FedEx Home.

Is there a way to fix / adjust the appropriate type of ground shipping?

Re: FedEx Shipping Ground versus Home

They are the  same service. The difference is that "home" is a residential address whereas "ground" (without the "home") is always a commercial address based on FedEx's internal computers. Once they decide I guess you have no choice.

I use a business name for my deliveries but it is still a residential address.
