A Buyer wants to return something that was sent in a large priority box. I clicked on on the ebay buy a shipping label. The Buyer sent me a screen shot of a Ground Advantage label that doesn't have the address I normally use. Just one I occasionally use. How could this happen and how can I send a different one?????

eBay Return labels are always Ground Advantage, but don't worry... it'll make it back to you. The address that you "occasionally use" must be the one you have on file as your 'Return shipping' address. To edit that, go to your account settings. There's a whole list of addresses... double check them all while you're there. Good luck.

I agree with @mtgraves7984 . You need to go to your Site Preferences and then your addresses. There are several of them. Check them all to make sure they read as you need them to.

Why aren't return labels being issued for the same method as the item was shipped to the buyer? And if Ebay is changing the method of shipment, how do they make that determination?

How could this happen?
Failure of the seller to update their return address.
How do you think ebay got that address?
They got it from YOU.
That's the address YOU have in file with ebay for a return address.

The address part makes sense. But I think the OP is also asking about the fact that the shipping box is a LFRP box, which you cannot slap a Ground Advantage label on.
Never had to deal with a return, so never had to print a label so I'm curious also.
It's asking for trouble to a) expect the buyer to find a box and b) expect them to pack it properly.

Well, I've come back to eat those ^^^ words. 😑
I've just received a Return (it's my first in a long, long time) and the return label was Priority... just as I'd sent it. 😲
ETA: @mam98031 , elizabeth@ebay , kyle@ebay , devon@ebay ... My bad. 😣

I've been selling on here for over 20 yrs and this is only my 2nd return. I never entered a return address but when the other item was returned it was sent to the usual address and that was a couple of months ago. The real problem is the Ground Advantage label and I have no idea how to fix this. Any suggestions on how to get a different label to the buyer?????

"Any suggestions on how to get a different label to the buyer?????"
I do not have suggestions. But until this Return, I could swear that my buyers' return shipping labels said First Class. Like I said, it's been a long, long time since I had one, but the packages always made it back to me.
"I never entered a return address..."
Check here.

I'm just refunding and telling them to keep it, it's not worth the hassle.

Personally, I'd just have them slap it on the box and ship. I thought the return labels didn't follow the standard rules we use for shipping methods. I don't think they even show weights. You could ask ebay on facebook unless you just don't want the item back.

Assuming you have a PP account, go there and print a label through ShipStation. Put the buyer's name and address as the return address and put your name and address as the "ship to" address.
Save the PDF and attach it to a message (or the return request) for the buyer to print and use.

AFAIK, return labels show a "return service" labeling.
I agree with slapping the label on the box. If USPS finds that postage is due, they'll collect the additional when they deliver it to you.

Yes, my return labels always charge me the same amount I paid initially, since I print through ebay. I don't know why one would show GA versus Priority, but I doubt the money will be different.
Maybe an expert can help.

Now I'm even more confused. My buyer must've bought their own label. It's marked 'Click -N-Ship' and the value on the label is a bit higher than I paid. Doh!
