Is anyone else experiencing an issue with Ebay's calculated shipping? A potential customer contacted me to question the calculated amount - it was double what it should have been. I confirmed that everything in the listing was correct and independently confirmed that she was right. Thinking it was a fluke, I contacted customer service and the rep could not explain why it was happening (but agreed that it was) and has escalated it to another department. I just realized that on a current sale today the sale thing happened (almost double the rate). I am waiting for Ebay to look into the first issue but fear that some of the sales drops lately may be because of a systemic problem with Ebay's calculated shipping - it may be scaring away potential customers. Any one else seeing this?

Can you provide the number to one of the listings where this is happening?
That way one of the shipping gurus here (of which I am not lol) can have a look.
Thanks

The first listing number is: 356830182395
Ironically, I just had ANOTHER person contact me about the same listing saying that she wants to purchase the item but my shipping is way too high!

@fast2send Ok Thank you for that..
I'm not the best at diagnosing shipping issues but there are some members that are great at it..
I'll see if @wastingtime101 is available.. One of the BEST at these things..
ETA: That item is showing US $17.65 USPS Ground Advantage for me in WA State..

It's possible.. It will change based on locations as I'm sure you are aware being as experienced as you are.
I suppose it could be your buyers just don't realize how much shipping has gone up?
I haven't seen any widespread complaints about this from others..
@fast2send Try signing out & attempting to purchase your item as a guest from TX and see what it says for shipping.
GEEZE WastingTime, If I pinged you for numpty buyers, my apologies..

No, it's clearly a calculation issue as I went to the UPS site and calculated it directly when she notified me. She was seeing $76 sh costs on EBay (she sent me a screen shot) and when I went to UPS's site directly (box is 16x16x16 so I eliminated USPS), using the same weight, dimensions and specific zip codes, it calculates at about $35.

OK, to start there is something wrong with your listing set up and your package size is very large, over 2 cu ft so that's going to vastly inflate the cost.
Wait - that particular listing is for a 4" figure? Why 16x16x16 dimensions? Are you sure that's the right listing number @fast2send ? https://www.ebay.com/itm/356830182395
I'll proceed as if it's the correct listing number, but I don't think it is.
02920 to 78213 is a USPS zone 7 shipment.
16x16x16 / 166 = 25 lb dimensional weight which is higher than 4 lb, plus the package is subject to an $18 surcharge with USPS for exceeding 2 cu ft in volume.
If your listing had dimensions 16x16x16 I would see a Ground Adv cost of either $90.20 (Ground Adv retail) or $76.63 (Ground Adv discounted online), depending on your account level shipping preferences.
For the same package i should be seeing for UPS Ground either $71.51 (retail) or $35.92 (online discount), depending on your account level shipping preferences.
Instead, to the zip code mentioned, I am seeing:
USPS Ground Adv $15.40
UPS Ground $23.01
Right now you are greatly undercharging your buyer if your package is truly 16x16x16 - dimensions need to be updated on your listing so you don't undercharge the buyer. But like I said, I don't think you gave me the right listing number.

Is this perhaps the correct item? 356830174581
That item is only 7.5" x 10" x 8" before packing, but I'm seeing the inflated shipping costs. Why do you need such a huge box for an item that size? Surely you can fit it in a smaller box and stay under a cubic foot.
