Doubts about a return

Hello,

I bought an item and, for the first time, I need to return it. The seller approved my request and I received this message: "Good news! Your return request is approved. The seller will provide you with a return shipping label to send the item back."

Is it supposed to receive something or need I send the item without seller's shipping label?

Here's how the seller may respond:

Accept your return request and offer a full refund – You'll return the item in the same condition in which it was received, and the seller issues you a full refund, including the original shipping cost. The seller will also pay for return shipping.

Re: Doubts about a return

The seller should send you a label.  Check in the case and also check your messages.  There should be a label for you to print and use to return the item.

No @antoniogarcez92, you are stuck with no button to ask eBay to step in and help.

If your seller doesn't send you cash within 2 business days to pay for return postage, since you can't call, you need to privately message eBay by Facebook https://facebook.com/messages/t/ebay or Twitter and ask to ESCALATE your return request.

eBay will put your case on hold to allow your seller send cash for return shipping, or just refund outright. After 5 days, if your seller has done neither, eBay will force a full refund, no return needed.

Re: Doubts about a return

Once the seller receives the notification, (or I should say sees it) they have the opportunity to assign an RMA and verify their return shipping address, when they do that, they can authorize a shipping label.  OR they may provide their own shipping label.  If you just did it today, give them time to see the notification, some may not work on Sunday.

If you don't get a response/label in a couple days, you can escalate it to eBay.

Re: Doubts about a return

I've checked in my messages and there is not any option to print shipping label.

Re: Doubts about a return

If you are in Portugal the seller won't be able to send you a label.  What reason did you give for the return? That will decide whether you or the seller are responsible for the cost of the return shipping.

Wondering if

The seller will provide you with a return shipping label to send the item back.

in the OP

1. obviates the reason for return, and

2. indicates who is responsible for the cost of the return shipping?

Re: Doubts about a return

You’re probably right but I don’t want to assume anything as eBays wording can be ambiguous / misleading at times.
